Roberts and STAC Finish 30th and 31st at NCAA Cross Country Championship

Joplin, Mo. - The Roberts Wesleyan and St. Thomas Aquinas women's cross country teams finished in 30th and 31st place at the NCAA Division II National Championship race on November 21 in Joplin, Mo. The Roberts Wesleyan men's team also competed in the NCAA Championship race, finishing in 28th place.

Competing in their second straight NCAA Championship, Roberts Wesleyan came in 30th place. Elizabeth Valento was the Redhawks top finisher, crossing the line in 83rd place with a time of 22:04.0.

In their first-ever appearance in the NCAA Championship race, St. Thomas Aquinas finished right behind their fellow conference member in 31st place. Kristen Borriello was the first Spartan across the finish line, coming in 130th with a time of 22:33.4.

Two individuals from the ECC also competed in the race. Daemen's Mackenzie Donahue was the top finisher from the ECC, crossing the line in 21:55.6 to finish in 69th place. ECC Runner of the Year, Sarah Jerotich from NYIT, wasn't far behind Donahue, coming in 80th place with a time of 22:01.8.
