Sparkill, N.Y. - The STAC Cross Country team
volunteered at the 25th Annual South Nyack Ten Miler Race hosted by
the Rockland Roadrunners. The Spartans provided support, cold
drinks and ice pops to the race participants at two separate
locations along the race route. All proceeds from the event
were donated to local organizations including the Orangetown and
Piermont Volunteer Fire Departments and Soup Angels &
Sunday Super, feeding those in need.
Half of the Spartan squad cheered on the 404 race finishers from
the Piermont Pier where they handed out water and gatorade at the
midpoint of the race. The rest of the STAC team handed out
water and ice pops in front of the Village of Grandview Village
Hall at Mile Two and again at Mile Eight.
