Central Islip, N.Y. - The season’s first USTFCCCA regional polls have been released and the C.W. Post men’s team and St. Thomas Aquinas women’s team have earned spots on their respective polls.
The C.W. Post Pioneers hold their pre-season ranking and remain at No. 7 on the Men’s East Region Poll. C.W. Post finished second at their own invitational last weekend with a total of 63 points. The Pioneers were the top DII Finishers as they fell short of Fordham University. Christian Altamura paced the men with a time of 26:52.37 to finish seventh overall.
The Spartans appeared in the No. 10 spot on the Women ‘s East Region Poll. They claimed a fourth place overall finish at the C.W. Post Invitational with ECC Runner of the Week Sarah Callagy leading the way, covering the 5K course in 19:43.19.
