The C.W. Post men’s cross country team and the St. Thomas Aquinas women’s cross country team were crowned champions at the 2010 East Coast Conference Cross Country Championships held at C.W. Post on Sunday, November 7.
The C.W. Post and Dowling men’s cross country teams maintained their spots from the previous week in the USTFCCCA regional rankings released on October 26.
The C.W. Post men’s cross country team remains in the USTFCCCA regional rankings released on October 19, while the Dowling Golden Lions enter the poll for the first time this season.
The seasons first USTFCCCA regional polls have been released and the C.W. Post mens team and St. Thomas Aquinas womens team have earned spots on their respective polls.
The Queens College Womens Cross Country team and the C.W. Post Mens Cross Country team have been tabbed the ECC Preseason Favorites as voted upon by the leagues coaches. Junior Jackline Toek from NYIT and sophomore Christian Altamura from C.W. Post are named the ECC Runners of the Year for their respective gender.
The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced on Tuesday preseason regional cross country rankings in Division II. C.W. Post earned a No. 7 ranking on the Mens East Region Poll while NYIT claimed the No. 9 spot on the Womens East Region Poll.
