Adelphi's men's and women's cross country teams continue to remain on the East Region radar as they claim a #4 and #5 respective ranking on the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Regional Poll, released on September 9. Adelphi is the only ECC institution to earn a ranking on the women's Poll while Dowling and St. Thomas Aquinas share the #10 spot on the men's side.
The Panthers swept the team titles at the 3rd Annual Hofstra Invitational on September 6. The women posted a perfect score of 15 in the Division II/III race, taking the eight of the first 11 places. Overall the women placed five runners in the top-10, including three in the top-5. The men captured the Division II/III title with 17 points, finishing 1-4 and taking nine of the top-12 spots. In the overall results Adelphi placed four athletes in the top-10. Adelphi also captured both the Division II/III individual titles as Ify Anene and Adam Clark outpaced the field.
