Rockville Centre, N.Y. - Amanda Hennemann of the University of Bridgeport was named the winner of the East Coast Conference Elite 19 Award winner for the sport of women's volleyball. The ECC Elite 19 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 19 championships. Hennemann was honored at the ECC awards luncheon on Friday afternoon before the start of the league's championship tournament.
Hennemann is a senior Biology major with a near-perfect, 3.97 GPA. She's also a key contributor on the court for the Purple Knights, earning First Team All-Conference accolades after coming in second in the ECC with 310 kills on the season.
