Rockville Centre, N.Y. - At Friday afternoon's East Coast Conference Women's Volleyball Championship awards luncheon, Sheri Middleton of the University of Bridgeport was honored as the East Coast Conference Elite 18 Award winner for her respective sport. The ECC Elite 18 honor is awarded to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade point average competing in each of the ECC's 18 championships.
Middleton, a senior Mass Communications, has compiled a perfect 4.0 GPA in her collegiate career. Middleton also earned a Second Team All-Conference selection later in the luncheon for her 135 kills and 65 total blocks on the season.
