Dobbs Ferry, N.Y. - Mercy College volleyball
beat Molloy College, 3-1, tonight. Freshman Brenna White set a new
career high with an incredible 31 kills in the match.
White posted her 600th kill of the season tonight as well, which is
the first time a Division II player has reached the mark since
scoring changed in 2008. She is the first Maverick to reach 600
kills in a season in a decade and currently ranks third all-time in
Mercy's single-season records (second is 633). She was presented
with a game ball after the match. She also leads all divisions in
the NCAA with 611 kills this season, and could become the first
freshman to ever do so.
