No. 1 Queens and No. 2 Dowling Advance to ECC Women's Tennis Finals

Central Islip, N.Y. - Top seeded Queens College and No. 2 seed Dowling College shutout their opponents in the ECC Semifinals to advance to the ECC Finals.  Queens defeated No. 4 seed Molloy College by a score of 7-0 while Dowling captured a 5-0 victory over the No. 3 seeded C.W. Post Pioneers.

The Knights remain undefeated with a 10-0 overall record and Dowling improves to 6-3 on the season.

Maria Perevezentseva followed a Knights sweep of the doubles matches with a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Amanda Colquhoun of Molloy at sixth singles to put QC up 4-0. The Knights clinched the match with straight set wins at second, third and fifth singles by Erika Goldsmith, Maria Mendes and Daniela Celi.

Dowling College 5 C.W. Post 0
Dowling headed into singles play with a 3-0 edge.  Tamaris Diversi claimed the fourth win for Dowling with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over C.W. Post's Morgan Milleisen, 6-1, 6-0, at the No. 1 singles positions.  Diane Kobasiuk swept Aysylu Mardanova in the No. 3 spot to clinch a 5-0 DC win.
