Central Islip, NY - The 2007 East Coast Conference post season champion Queens College Knights were selected to lead the way in 2008 according the league's preseason coaches' poll.  The Knights finished the regular season 7-0 ECC record.  They went on to defeat the Clippers in the ECC Finals, 5-2, to advance to the NCAA Northeast Regional, but fell in the first round to finish the season 12-3.  Concordia (7-0 ECC, 8-3 overall) was picked to finish second with Adelphi (4-3 ECC, 4-6 overall) claiming the #3 pick.

Junior Somadi Druker of Concordia College was named the 2008 Women's Tennis Preseason Player of the Year.  The 2007 ECC Player of the Year went undefeated on the season (7-0 ECC, 10-0 overall) and won both the #1 singles and #1 doubles at the ECC Flight Championships.
