Oliveira Tabbed Women’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Central Islip, NY - Junior Cristina Oliveira (Porto Allegre, Brazil) from Concordia College has been voted the 2008 East Coast Conference Women's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Named the ECC Women's Tennis Player of the Year in October, Oliveira helped guide Concordia to ECC regular season and tournament championships.  She is ranked second in the region in singles play and third in doubles after an undefeated fall season (10-0 singles, 11-0 doubles).  Oliveira is majoring in business administration and computer information systems and holds a 3.38 grade point average.

East Coast Conference Scholar-Athlete of Year recipients are nominated by their institution and voted on by the Faculty Athletic Representatives from each ECC institution.
