Bridgeport's Doyle Earns Consensus All-America Status

University of Bridgeport women's soccer standout, Maegen Doyle, has earned consensus All-America First Team status with her selection to two different publications' lists. Doyle was named to both the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) First Teams.

Doyle, the ECC Offensive Player of the Year, had a record setting year to help the Purple Knights win the program's first-ever Division II National Championship. She was an offensive force with 28 goals and 59 points on the season. Her goal total was good for second in the nation, while she led all of Division II with 13 game-winning goals. Her point total and her goals per game mark of 1.22 also ranked in the top-five in Division II.

Rebecca Conway of Mercy College was the only other ECC student-athlete recognized  as an All-American with her selection to the USC Third Team. Conway was the ECC Defensive Player of the Year this season after helping the Mavericks lead the ECC in allowing only 13 goals. She also chipped in with three goals and an assist for seven points on the season.
