Four ECC Women's Soccer Standouts Earn All-America Honors

Idioa Agirre, Nicola Worthington, and Flo Gamby of Bridgeport and Bella Mitrevski of Roberts Wesleyan have been named Division II Women's Soccer All-Americans by different publications. Agirre and Worthington were consensus All-Americans after being selected to both the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and Division II Conference Commissioner's Assocation (DIICCA) lists, while Gamby and Mitrevski were DIICCA selections.

Agirre put together a phenomenal year in her lone season in a Bridgeport uniform to earn DIICCA First Team and NSCAA Third Team honors. The senior transfer earns the All-America nods after being selected as the ECC Offensive Player of the Year. Agirre, who was also a DIICCA All-American at Anderson University a season ago,  led the ECC with 25 goals, 11 more than the runner-up. Her goal total was second and point total (55) third in all of Division II and she also led the country with 1.25 goals per game.

Worthington flip flopped selections with Agirre, earning NSCAA First Team and DIICCA Third Team honors. The two-time ECC Defensive Player of the Year also repeats as an NSCAA First Teamer. In addition to being a strong defender, Worthington led the ECC and ranked second in the nation with 15 assists on the year.

Mitrevski wraps up her stellar career with her third straight DIICCA All-America selection and second straight First Team selection. The 2015 ECC Offensive Player of the Year had another outstanding season in 2016, scoring 10 goals and adding six assists to finish with 26 points.

Gamby, a defender for a Bridgeport squad that allowed only 19 goals in 22 games and shutout 11 opponents on the year, earns her second straight DIICCA All-America selection as a Third Team pick.
