Vistnes and Zielinski Named NSCAA All-Americans

Kansas City, Mo. - ECC women's soccer standouts, Susanne Vistnes of LIU Post and Abby Zielinski of Mercy, have been named Third Team All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Vistnes, a three-time ECC Offensive Player of the Year, earns her third straight selection to the NSCAA Third Team. The junior forward once again led the ECC in goals (19) and points (48) during the 2014 season. She also ranked third in all of Division II in goals, goals per game (1.0), and points per game (2.58).

Zielinski, a senior midfielder for ECC Champion, Mercy, wrapped up her career with a second straight All-American nod, after earning the honor from Daktronics during the 2013 season.  In 20 games on the season, Zielinski contributed three assists and was an integral part of the Mavericks defense which ranked 23rd in Division II in allowing a .608 goals against average.
