Kansas City, Kan. – On the heels of nine
straight wins, the University of Bridgeport women’s soccer
team are listed at No. 15 in the latest National Soccer Coaches
Association of America (NSCAA) Division II Top 25 poll. The Purple
Knights jumped one spot from last week’s poll.
Last week, Bridgeport posted clean sheet victories over Georgian
Court (3-0) and Molloy (2-0) to move their record to 9-1 on the
season. The Purple Knights have now won nine straight games after a
season opening loss to No. 6 American International.
The NSCAA East Region rankings were also released, with three ECC
schools on the ledger. Bridgeport comes in at No. 3 and is directly
followed by LIU Post at No. 4 and Mercy at No. 5.
