LIU Post’s Vistnes Named Third Team All-American; Eleven from ECC Earn All-Region Status

Kansas City, Kan. – ECC Women's Soccer Offensive Player and Rookie of the Year, Susanne Vistnes from LIU Post, has been named a National Soccer Coaches Association of America Third Team All-American.

Vistnes, a freshman forward, helped lead the Pioneers to a 15-3-2 record and an ECC Regular Season Championship with an outstanding offensive campaign. In 20 games on the season, Vistnes sent home a conference leading 19 goals and dished off nine assists for 47 points. Both her goal and point total were ranked in the top four in all of Division II.

Vistnes was also selected to the NSCAA All-East Region First Team. Joining her on the All-Region First Team was Gabriella D'Aprile of Dowling.

Ashleigh Berg (Bridgeport), Karina Rizzo (LIU Post), Dominique DeFelice (Dowling), Alexa Niciforo (LIU Post), and Julia Colley (Bridgeport) were Second Team selections, while Nicole Fierro (LIU Post), Becky Wallis (Bridgeport), Sarah Boucher (Queens), and Prudence Rydstrom (LIU Post) made the Third Team.
