Ten ECC Women's Soccer Players Grab Spot on Daktronics All-Region Squads

Bridgeport, Conn. – College of St. Rose midfielder Christina Cuffari (Senior/Brick, N.J.) has been selected as the 2011 Daktronics, Inc. East Region Women’s Soccer Player of the Year.

Cuffari headlines a list of 13 student-athletes named to the first-team all-region squad in voting powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM and conducted among sports information directors at NCAA Division II institutions that are members of the Central Atlantic Collegiate, East Coast and Northeast 10 Conferences. 13 additional student-athletes were named second team all-region.

The 2011 Northeast 10 Conference Women’s Soccer Player of the Year, Cuffari has scored eight goals and has 11 assists for a total of 27 points so far this season. She has helped her team to compile a 22-1-1 overall record heading into the NCAA East Regional Final where they will face UMass Lowell on Friday.

A total of 14 institutions are represented on the 2011 Daktronics, Inc. East Region Women’s Soccer First or Second Teams. The University of Bridgeport tops the list with five selections, followed by the College of St. Rose with four selections. Dowling, Holy Family and Southern Connecticut State have two selections each.
