Indianapolis – The University of Bridgeport women’s soccer team, was atop the first NCAA Division II East Region Poll released on October 19th. The Purple Knights make it a clean sweep of the rankings this week as they also hold the top spot in the NSCAA National and Regional Coaches polls.
Last week Bridgeport continued their perfect run to begin the season with a 2-0 victory over conference rival, Dowling. The Purple Knights, whose record is now a perfect 12-0-0 on the year, have shut out nine different opponents and have allowed only three goals on the season.
