Kansas City, Kan. - The University of Bridgeport Women’s Soccer continued their rise up the NSCAA national rankings, all the way to the No. 1 spot in the poll released on September 27. Holding the top spot is a program first for the Purple Knights.
After defeating Bloomsburg and conference rival C.W. Post last week, Bridgeport moved to 7-0-0 on the season. In addition to holding the top spot in the country, the Purple Knights maintained its claim on the top spot in the NSCAA regional rankings as well.
Dowling is the only other ECC team in the regional rankings, coming in at No. 7 with a 6-2-0 record. C.W. Post dropped out of the rankings after the loss to Bridgeport.
