Central Islip, N.Y. - The NSCAA has released their first Women’s Soccer East Region Poll and Dowling, Bridgeport and C.W. Post rank in the top ten.
Dowling claims the No. 4 spot on the Poll after opening the season with back to back wins. The Golden Lions defeated Merrimack, 2-0, and battled to an overtime 1-0 victory over St. Michael’s.
Bridgeport follows at No. 6 after going 1-1 in the first weekend of play. The Purple Knights fell to AIC, 3-1, and then bounced back with a 2-1 overtime win over UMass-Lowell.
C.W. Post rounds out the ECC representation on the Poll, tied in the No. 7 spot. The Pioneers share the spot with UMass-Lowell, the team they battled to a scoreless draw to open the season. C.W. Post dropped their second game of the week to AIC.
