NEW HYDE PARK, N.Y. - For the sixth consecutive
year, the women's soccer team made a trip to the Ronald McDonald
House in New Hyde Park. The team spent the day volunteering their
time to make a delicious dinner for its guest.
The student-athletes prepared an impressive meal featuring bourbon
chicken, sweat and sour meatballs, rice, egg noodles, chicken
nuggets, French fries and salad for their guests during the dinner
dining hours.
The Ronald McDonald House provides a "home away from home" for
families of seriously ill children who are receiving treatment at
nearby hospitals. Since 1974, more than 10 million families
around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a
Ronald McDonald House.
The Long Island chapter is a two-minute walk from Schneider's
Children's Hospital, the house provides a comfortable and
supportive environment, helping families through their most
difficult times.
