Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Awards Headlined by Milano, Isnardi, Stagnitta, Kirk, and Tomei

West Babylon, N.Y. - The 2018 East Coast Conference Women's Lacrosse All-Conference teams were announced on Thursday morning. Mercy's Hunter Isnardi (Hicksville, N.Y.) and Talia Stagnitta (Patchogue, N.Y.), NYIT's Alyssa Milano (Rocky Point, N.Y.), LIU Post's Olivia Kirk (Farmingdale, N.Y.), and Roberts Wesleyan's Emily Tomei (Webster, N.Y.), headline the selections by earning the league's major awards. 

Milano earns the Attacker of the Year honor in her final season at NYIT. The senior was one of the most potent offensive players in all of Division II this season. She wrapped up the regular season with 83 goals and 19 assists for 102 points. Her goal total was second in the conference and in the top-five in the nation. She also headed into ECC Championship play second in the country with 4.81 goals per game.

The one player who has scored more goals per game than Milano is the ECC Midfielder of the Year, Hunter Isnardi. Isnardi, who has now won one of the ECC major awards in all three years of her careeer, scored 85 goals on the year to lead Division II with an average of 5.31. Her goal total is also tops in the country. Isnardi makes it a trifecta by also leading the nation with 11.88 draw controls per game. On the year, she has 190 draw controls, nearly 100 higher than the conference's runner up. In addition, Isnardi also finished in the top-five in the ECC with 45 ground balls.

Another standout who was integral in Mercy's successful season was the Defender of the Year, Stagnitta. Her 28 caused turnovers on the season ranked third in the ECC and helped the Mavericks defense rank in the top-15 in Division II by allowing 9.31 goals per game. Stagnitta ranked in the league's top-10 with 58 draw controls and 43 ground balls.

For the third year in a row, Kirk claims the ECC Goalkeeper of the Year honor. A two-time Division II Goalkeeper of the Year as well, Kirk led the ECC and finished sixth in Division II with a .530 save percentage. Her save percentage was even better during ECC play. She upped the mark to .570 to compile a perfect 8-0 record in conference action. Overall, Kirk made 159 saves on the year.

Tomei had a standout debut season for the Redhawks to earn the league's Rookie of the Year honor. She was the league's highest scoring rookie, finishing with 57 points on 41 goals and 16 assists during the regular season. Tomei's name was also found on the conference leaderboard in ground balls and draw controls. She finished in the league's top-10 in both categories, finishing with 40 ground balls and 57 draw controls.

LIU Post Head Coach, Meaghan McNamara rounds out the major awards by being named the Coach of the Year. She was selected by her peers after guiding the Pioneers to a perfect 8-0 run through ECC play and their  fifth regular season championship in the past six seasons.
