Youker and Manetta Headline ECC Women's Bowling All-Conference Honors

West Babylon, N.Y. - Mercyhurst sophomore Haley Youker (East Syracuse, N.Y.) headlines the East Coast Conference Women's Bowling All-Conference honorees announced Friday morning as the league's Bowler of the Year. Hannah Manetta (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y.) of Adelphi was selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year.

Youker was the runaway winner of the league's top honor after fishing the year with seven straight All-Tournament Team selections that also included four MVP awards. She led the league in numerous statistical categories including finishing tops in overall frame average by nearly a full pin (20.46 to 19.63). Youker also ranked first in the conference in frame fill percentage (84.3), traditional format frame average (20.82), Baker format frame average (20.12), strike percentage (51.8), individual first ball 9+ percentage (76.4), and anchor bowling 10th frame scoring average (20.33). The four-time ECC Bowler of the Week ranked among the nation's best statistically, too. She finished eighth across the entire NCAA with a 208.15 traditional average and 15th in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Player Composite Performance Index (PCPI) at 89.48.

Manetta earns the ECC Rookie of the Year award after ranking first among the league's rookies with an 80.66 PCPI ranking. In addition, she ranked seventh in the conference with an 18.80 frame average and fifth with a Baker frame average of 19.08 and a strike percentage of 42.9.

For the fourth straight season, Dennis Kearney of Adelphi has been selected as the Coach of the Year by his peers. Kearney led the Panthers to a 63-34 record on the season. Adelphi's win total and .649 winning percentage were tops in the ECC this season. In addition, Kearney led the Panthers to a No. 18 national ranking in the latest NTCA Top 25 poll.

Youker was also a First Team All-Conference honoree, while Manetta earns Second Team accolades. Joining Youker on the First Team are Nicole Aumack (Sr., Felician), Rachel Hirst (Jr., Wilmington), Skylar McGarrity (Jr., Adelphi), and Jenna Rapach (So., Caldwell). Second Team picks include Keanna Delp (Jr., Kutztown), Marisol Dodson (Sr., Lincoln Memorial), Manetta, CC Riojas (Fr., Wilmington), and Megan Wehmeier (So., Adelphi).
