ECC Women's Bowling All-Conference Awards Headlined by Hansen, Notebaert, and Rapach

West Babylon, N.Y. - The East Coast Conference Women's Bowling All-Conference awards were announced on Friday evening with Lincoln Memorial sophomore Christine Hansen (Aalborg, Denmark) and Roberts Wesleyan junior Emily Notebaert (Rochester, N.Y.) headlining the honorees by sharing the league's Bowler of the Year honor. Caldwell freshman Jenna Rapach (Hazleton, Pa.) was also selected as the conference's Rookie of the Year.

Hansen earns a share of the league's top honor after leading the league in Baker format frame average (20.3), anchor bowler 10th frame scoring average (21.6), anchor bowler 10th frame double percentage (33.9), and Baker format first ball 9+ percentage (74.8). Her name is also littered across the conference leaderboard, coming in the top-five in 13 more statistical categories. Hansen is among the national leaders as well. She enters the ECC Championship ranked No. 2 nationally in anchor bowler 10th frame scoring average, anchor bowler 10th frame Baker fill percentage, and anchor bowler 10th frame double percentage.

Like Hansen, Notebaert has compiled some of the most impressive statistics in the ECC this season. She currently tops the league with a 20.2 overall frame average and a 20.1 traditional frame average. In addition, she's tops in the league in a whopping 15 additional statistical categories including filled frame percentage (84.2), overall strike percentage (52.9), and Baker double percentage (48.0). Once again like Hansen, Notebaert is among the best across the NCAA currently ranking third in strike percentage, sixth in frame average, and 13th in traditional average (201.14). Notebaert also leads the conference in the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) Player  Composite Performance Index at 97.18 percent and ranks 18th nationally at 88.33 percent.

A four-time ECC weekly honoree during the season, Rapach had the highest overall frame average of any ECC rookie at 18.4. She also ranked among the ECC leaders in individual statistics with an 18.7 Baker frame average (6th), an 89.9 Baker single pin spare percentage (2nd), and a 19.6 anchor bowler 10th frame scoring average (6th).

Dennis Kearney of Adelphi has been selected as the Coach of the Year by his peers for the third consecutive season. The Panthers head into the ECC Championship with an overall record of 62-43, good for the second highest winning percentage in the conference. Kearney has also led the Panthers to a No. 17 national ranking in the NTCA Top 25 poll.

Hansen and Brookover were also First Team All-Conference honorees. They are joined by Justine Brookover (So., Lincoln Memorial), McKenna Collier (Jr., Adelphi), and Tyra Sanchez (So., Lincoln Memorial) as First Team selections . Second Team picks include Nicole Aumack (Jr., Felician), Marisol Dodson (Jr., Lincoln Memorial), Mary-Kate Kersting (Jr., Lincoln Memorial), Skylar McGarrity (So., Adelphi), and Rapach.
