Central Islip, N.Y. - The National Tenpin Coaches Association recently released their academic awards with 24 student-athletes and three teams from the East Coast Conference honored.
Felician, Adelphi, and Molloy were among 17 teams nationally to earn Academic Team honors. To be considered for team recognition, programs must have a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 for 2015-16. Felician held the second highest GPA in the country at 3.68 while Adelphi and Molloy compiled 3.523 and 3.2 marks, repectively.
Student-athletes from five of the six ECC members were honored on the Academic All NTCA team. To earn the distinction, the student-athletes must have maintained a 3.4 cumulative GPA for the 2015-16 school year.
