STAC Women's Basketball Season Ends at NCAA DII East Region Quarterfinals

Worcester, Mass. - The 2022-23 season came to its conclusion for the St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Basketball team on Friday, but not before both players and coaches alike gained valuable postseason experience that will only serve to strengthen the Spartans for many years to come.

In its first NCAA Division II Tournament game since 2019, No. 7 STAC dropped a 65-44 decision to No. 2 Southern New Hampshire University at Laska Gymnasium on the campus of top seed and hosts Assumption University.

The Spartans close their campaign, going 21-9 overall and 12-4 in the ECC. Meanwhile, So. New Hampshire improves to 22-7 and advances to Saturday's semifinal against No. 3 Jefferson University.
