Ragab and Rowland Earn All-America Honors

East Coast Conference Women's Basketball standouts Dina Ragab of NYIT and Madison Rowland of Queens College have been recognized as All-Americans.

Ragab, the ECC Player of the Year, earned a spot on the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA)Honorable Mention Team. The senior led the Bears to the best season in program history by pouring in 16.8 points per game and grabbing 8.3 rebounds per game. Ragab, who became NYIT's all-time leading scorer during the season, also finished in the top-five in the conference with 54 steals and 45 blocks.

Rowland, an All-Conference First Team pick, earns a spot on the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) Third Team for the second year in a row. The junior topped the ECC with a scoring average of 20.8 points per gam, while also tallying 9.6 rebounds per game and 3.8 assists per game. She also led the league and all of Division II for the third straight season with 4.4 steals per game.
