Dowling’s Wilson, Queens’ Jackson Named Daktronics All-Americans

Abilene, Texas – ECC Player of the Year, Danielle Wilson of Dowling College, has been named a Daktronics NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Second Team All-American. Bria Jackson of Queens College was also honored as an Honorable Mention selection.

Wilson, a senior forward from Bay Shore, N.Y. was a standout in her only season in a Golden Lions uniform, averaging a double-double on the season with averages of 17.2 points per game and 11.3 rebounds per game. Her rebounding total was good for 11th in all of Division II. Wilson was also among the national leaders in blocks per game (2.77), field goal percentage (.573), and double-doubles (19), ranking sixth in the nation in each category. The senior also lifted the Golden Lions to their first ever appearance in the Elite Eight, earning the NCAA Division II East Regional Most Outstanding Player honor after averaging 19.3 ppg and 16.7 rpg over three games.

Jackson earns Honorable Mention honors after leading the ECC and coming in sixth in Division II in scoring at 20.0 points per game. Jackson also averaged 7.3 rebounds per game and 4.5 assists per game on the season.
