Lilburn, Ga. – For the second straight
week, the Dowling Women’s Basketball team has climbed the
rankings in the USA Today/ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches
Poll. The Golden Lions now hold the No. 21 position, a two
spot jump from last week’s ranking of No. 23.
This week marks the third poll that Dowling has seen its name in
the Top 25. The Golden Lions are currently on their second
win streak of seven or more games this season, which has boosted
them to a 16-3 record. The Golden Lions remain the only ECC
team to remain perfect in conference play.
A fellow ECC member, University of the District of Columbia, also
claims a 16-3 record and was once again just outside the poll with
32 votes behind the 25th ranked team.
