Lady Spartans Walk for a Cause

Lady Spartans Walk for a Cause

Members of the St. Thomas Aquinas women's basketball and soccer teams participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Manhattanville College on Sunday morning.  The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is as unique and special as the stories that motivate our dedicated walkers, donors and volunteers.

Each step we take is personal and each donation helps save lives. Making Strides walks are non-competitive and three to five miles in length. Since 1993, nearly six million walkers have raised more than $400 million. In 2009 alone, nearly 700,000 walkers across the country collected $60 million to save lives from breast cancer.

Lady Spartans Athletes that participated were; Nicole Biolsi, Briana Cook, Tatyana Crawford, Sylvia Davis, Michelle Dugan, Liz Gronwoldt, Riley Harrington, Julia Karl, Shpresa Liharevic, Tori Matt, Maria Morgana, Sara Oliverira and Briana Sloper.
