Central Islip, N.Y. - Sophomore Kymira Woodberry of Molloy College and a native of Boston, Mass. has been named the East Coast Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Year as selected by the conference coaches.

Woodberry, who was the ECC Rookie of the Year last season, averaged a double double of 16.9 points and 10.8 rebounds over 25 games including 23 starts. Averaging just over 30 minutes per outing, she shot 54-percent from the field and 68-percent from the free throw line and added 2.04 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.88 blocks per contest. She finished third overall in the ECC in scoring rebounding and field goal percentage, and eighth in blocks.

Amanda Bartlett of Queens College and a native of Mesa, Ariz. earned ECC Rookie of the Year accolades after an outstanding freshman campaign that saw her average a league-best 18.2 points per game along with 3.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists (fifth in the ECC) while averaging 34 minutes per game. Bartlett shot 35-percent from the field, 33-percent from the three-point line and just under 80-percent at the free throw line.

Tom Flahive of Queens earned Coach of the Year honors having guided the Knights to a 14-13 overall record including a 12-8 mark in ECC play, a remarkable turnaround from a 6-21 campaign in 2006-07. The Knights finished sixth in the ECC standings and qualified for the ECC Championship tournament.

The ECC All Conference First Team included Bartlett along with Lauren Hood of the University of the New Haven, Gianna Smith of Adelphi University, Takiyah Ingram of Saint Thomas Aquinas College, and Shannon Malone of the University of Bridgeport.

The ECC Second Team included Whitney Murrer and Jasmine Moore of LIU/C.W. Post, Christina Baxter of Mercy College, Randi Bender of Molloy, and Briiana Rende of New Haven.

The ECC Third Team included Mary Lepore and Serita Lee of Adelphi, Delmara Reece of Mercy, Molly Tubridy of Dowling, Sidney Parsons of Bridgeport, and Basimah Thompson of C.W. Post.
