Seader Named East Region Player of the Year: 12 Named All-Region

East Coast Conference Softball Player of the Year, Julia Seader of LIU Post, headlines the league's All-East Region selections as a consensus First Team pick in addition to earning the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) East Region Player of the Year honor.  In addition, 12 other student-athletes from the ECC have been named to one of the two All-Region lists.

Seader has put together one of the top seasons in all of Division II  to lead the Pioneers in 2019. Heading in to the NCAA Super Regional, she is currently hitting .440 with 20 homeruns and 59 RBI on the year.  Seader also leads Division II with 159 total bases.

ECC Pitcher of the Year, Hannah Olshevski of LIU Post, and Mercy's Hannah Mueller join Seader as consensus All-Region First Teamers with both being named to the D2CCA and National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) lists. Olshevski is currently 23-5 on the year to go along with a 1.80 earned run average. Mueller led the ECC in hitting with a .456 average to go along with 30 RBI.

Bridgeport standouts Allison Luzzi and Samantha Sabor, as well as Molloy's Courtney Greene, were also consensus All-Region selections. Luzzi was a First Teamer on the NFCA list and earned a spot on the D2CCA Second Team. Greene and Sabor were on the Second Team for both the D2CCA and NFCA.

Others who earned All-Region recognition are Allie Laird (NFCA First Team), Abbey Fortin (NFCA Second Team), Hanna Finkelstein (D2CCA Second Team), Katie Humhej (D2CCA Second Team) and Megan Sneeden (D2CCA Second Team) of LIU Post, Mikayla Newham (NFCA Second Team) of Mercy,  and Kaira Ramon (D2CCA Second Team) of Bridgeport.
