Austin, Texas - East Coast Conference Softball Player of the Year, Kat Zabielski of NYIT, has earned a spot on the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team.
Zabielski adds another honor to her oustanding season with the Academic All-America selection. A Business Managaement major with a 3.81 GPA, Zabielski compiled one of the top offensive seasons in ECC history in 2016. She hit .405 and added ECC-highs with 20 homeruns, 73 runs batted in, and a .919 slugging percentage. She ranked in the top six in all of Division II with her homerun, RBI, and slugging totals and also led the country with 0.41 homeruns per game and 1.49 RBI per game.
