Louisville, Ky. - East Coast Conference Player of the Year, Kat Zabielski of NYIT, has been named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division II All-America First Team selection.
Zabielski was an at-large pick to the First Team after posting one of the top offensive seasons in ECC history. She finished with a .405 batting average and an ECC-high 20 homeruns, 73 RBI, and .919 slugging percentage. She ranked in the top six in all of Division II with her homerun, RBI, and slugging totals and also led the country with 0.41 homeruns per game and 1.49 RBI per game.
With her selection, Zabielski is the first All-America honoree in NYIT program history.
