INDIANAPOLIS---The NCAA Division II Softball Committee has selected the 64 teams that will participate in the 2009 NCAA Division II Softball Regional Championships. Four teams will participate at each of 16 regional sites in double-elimination tournaments.

Regional competition will be held May 8-10. Winners will advance to the super regionals May 15-16. The finals will be held May 21-25 in Salem, Virginia, at the James I. Moyer Sports Complex.

No. 2 C.W. Post will host New Haven, Georgian Court and Southern Connecticut in one of the two East Regional tournaments.  The Pioneers will take on the No. 7 seeded New Haven Chargers for the first game in the tournament.  No. 3 Georgian Court will face No. 6 Southern Connecticut in the second game.

Dowling, seeded fifth, will travel to top-seeded Le Moyne to take on No. 4 Caldwell in the first game of the second East Regional tournament.  Dominican rounds out the second East Region field at the No. 8 spot.
