Henricy, Mangeon, and Sramek Headline ECC Men’s Tennis All-Conference Team

West Babylon, N.Y. – The East Coast Conference Men’s Tennis All-Conference honors were announced on Thursday afternoon. Cameron Henricy (Las Palmas, Spain) of Queens College and Louis Mangeon (Belbeuf, France) of the University of the District of Columbia both earned a share of the Player of the Year award. St. Thomas Aquinas College’s Ondrej Sramek (Trebechovice pod Orebem, Czech Republic) was also honored as the league’s Rookie of the Year.

Henricy currently holds an 18-6 singles record and a 15-5 doubles record on the season. He especially excelled in conference play, going 5-1 in singles and 4-1 in doubles. Henricy had impressive showings in two fall tournaments, as well. He won the “A” singles at the Alan Landes Invitational before becoming the first from Queens to advance to the final of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) East Region Singles Championship since 2016.

Mangeon finished the regular season with a 14-4 singles record, which includes a 13-3 mark at the No. 1 flight. In ECC play, he went 4-1 in singles and 3-2 in doubles, all at the No. 1 flight.

After earning every ECC Rookie of the Week honor throughout the regular season, Sramek was selected as the conference’s Rookie of the Year. Sramek tied Henricy for the most singles wins of any ECC student-athlete with an 18-3 record. He added a 14-6 record in doubles. Sramek was nearly unstoppable in conference play. He was a perfect 6-0 in singles across the No. 3, 4 and 5 flights and went 4-1 in doubles play.

St. Thomas Aquinas head coach, Daniel Rockhill, was named the Coach of the Year to wrap up the top awards. In his first season as head coach, Rockhill led the Spartans to a 17-1 regular season record and a share of the ECC Regular Season Championship.

In addition to the top awards, the ECC announced its All-Conference honorees. Joining Henricy, Mangeon, and Sramek are Moritz Borges and Lucas Demuth of Queens and Tobias Fuerschuss of St. Thomas Aquinas.
