Season Concludes as Spartans Edged By Le Moyne, 4-1 at NCAA Tournament

Syracuse, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Tennis team's outstanding 2021-22 Season came to a close on Tuesday, as the Spartans were edged by Le Moyne College, 4-1 in one of two East Regional Finals, which was held at the Drumlins Country Club.

STAC closes its campaign with an 18-8 overall record and a 4-2 ECC mark, while Le Moyne advances to the NCAA National Championships, which will be held in Altamonte Springs, Florida beginning next week.

The Dolphins took two of three doubles matches to earn their first team point, before moving to singles competition, where Le Moyne took a 2-0 lead. The Spartans fought back and captured their first victory of the day at the number three position, when Lennart Lehmann beat Jared Howard, 6-2, 6-4. Unfortunately, two additional singles wins by Le Moyne closed out the match, ending STAC's record-setting season.
