LIU Post's Lukas Ostermann has been named a consensus All-American with his selection to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) All-America Teams. Manuel Achondo of Mercy College has also earned All-America status with a selection to the USC Second Team.
Ostermann was selected to the D2CCA First Team and the USC Second Team after earning ECC Offensive Player of the Year honors. The forward led the ECC with 23 goals and 52 points, while also finishing second in the league with six assists. Ostermann was among the national leaders, as well, coming in the top five in Division II in goals (2nd), points (2nd), points per game (2.6 - 3rd), goals per game (1.15 - 4th), and game-winning goals (7 - 3rd).
Achondo was honored after scoring six goals and dishing off one assist for 13 points to help Mercy claim its first-ever ECC Regular Season Championship and end a nearly 30 year NCAA Tournament drought.
