Ostermann Named DIICCA East Region Player of the Year

LIU Post graduate student, Lukas Ostermann, headlined the All- Region selections from the East Coast Conference by being named the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) East Region Player of the Year. In addition, 10 other student-athletes from the ECC have been named to the United Soccer Coaches (USC) and D2CCA All-Region teams.

Ostermann, the ECC Offensive Player of the Year, led the conference with 23 goals and 52 points, while also finishing second in the league with six assists. Ostermann also finished in the top five in Division II in goals (2nd), points (2nd), points per game (2.6 - 3rd), goals per game (1.15 - 4th), and game-winning goals (7 - 3rd).

Ostermann is joined by Gaston Rozenblum and Manuel Achondo of Mercy and Brad Neal of St. Thomas Aquinas as consensus All-Region selections. Rozenblum was a First Team selection and Neal was a Second Team honoree by both publications while Achondo was a USC First Team pick and a D2CCA Second Team selection.

Rounding out the D2CCA selections are LIU Post's Oliver Hessner Hansen and Vittori Argeri, both of whom were named to the Second Team.

Mercy's Maximiliano Rebolledo-Camus (Second Team), Jordan Williams (Third Team), and Ignacio Mangada (Third Team), District of Columbia's Michael Agboola (Third Team), and NYIT's Bernd Schluter (Second Team) were all honored by the United Soccer Coaches.
