Brookville, N.Y. - LIU Post sophomore forward, Charlie Ledula, has been named the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (DIICCA) East Region Player of the Year. Eight other men's soccer standouts from the East Coast Conference also earned DIICCA All-Region honors.
Ledula, the ECC Offensive Player of the Year, led the conference and the East Region with 18 goals and 42 points on the season. His goal and point numbers also rank in the top-15 in Division II, as do his points per game (2.1), goals per game (0.9), and game-winning goals (8) totals.
Ledula is joined on the All-Region First Team by teammates David Arviddson and Harry Pearse, Kyle Poetzsch of Molloy, and Luis Morales of St. Thomas Aquinas. The First Team honorees are now eligible for All-America status and Ledula will be listed on the National Player of the Year ballot.
Nico Kjaer Andersen, Erik Berthagen, and Jesper Malmstrom of LIU Post and Brad Neal of St. Thomas Aquinas round out the ECC representation with spots on the All-Region Second Team.
