Brookville, N.Y. - For the third-consecutive season, LIU Post has boasted the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association Men’s Soccer East Region Player of the Year. Per Forgaard (Stavanger, Norway) was named the recipient of the honor on Monday morning.
Prior to Forgaard, former Pioneer standout Eivind Austboe (Stavanger, Norway) garnered East Region Player of the Year accolades each of the last two seasons.
Forgaard, who was selected as the East Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Year, ranked in the Top-20 in Division II in nearly every offensive category. He led the ECC in goals (13), assists (13) and points (39), while placing fourth in the conference in shots (58) and sixth in game-winners (2).
Forgaard earned an overwhelming 16 first-place votes, en route to claiming the region’s top honor.
