Kansas City, Mo. – For the second
straight week, the LIU Post men’s soccer team has been ranked
as the No. 1 team in the NSCAA Top 25 Poll.
The Pioneers picked up two victories in their first ever week
ranked as the top team In the nation. In ECC contests against Mercy
and Bridgeport, the Pioneers won by an identical score of 3-1 to
push their winning streak to 11 games to open the season. LIU Post
also extended their streak of games scoring multiple goals to 11 as
well.
For the fourth straight week, the NSCAA East Region rankings also
feature the Pioneers atop the poll. LIU Post is also joined in the
East Region poll by conference rivals Mercy, Bridgeport, and
Queens.
Mercy falls one spot to No. 7, Bridgeport moves up one spot to No.
9, and Queens is listed in the rankings for the first time this
season at No. 10.
