Towson, Md. – Dowling College men’s
soccer standout, Vladimir Milosavljevic, has been named to the 2011
Capital One Division II Academic All-America First Team.
Milosavljevic, a senior defender, excelled both on and off the
pitch during his four years as a Golden Lion. On the field,
Milosavljevic was the ECC Defensive Player of the Year in 2010 and
also was an All-American while helping Dowling advance to two Final
Fours in his career.
His accomplishments off the field have been just as impressive. A
finance major, Vladimir currently holds a perfect 4.0 GPA. At the
2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Final Four, he was awarded
the Elite 88 award for holding the highest GPA among
student-athletes participating at the National Championship site.
Milosavljevic was also honored by the ECC, taking home the 2010-11
ECC Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, in addition to the
2010-11 ECC Men’s Soccer Scholar-Athlete of the Year
Award.
