Kansas City, Kan. - The C.W. Post continued its
ascent up the national rankings in the latest NSCAA poll. The
Pioneers are joined in this week’s poll by St. Thomas
Aquinas, who checks in for the first time in program history after
having been just outside the Top 25 in previous polls.
The Post men climbed two spots up to No. 6 in the latest poll
released October 4th, while keeping their record unblemished with a
5-1 victory over Dowling College. STAC makes its first ever
appearance in the Top 25, claiming the No. 17 spot in the polls
after decisive victories over Caldwell and Mercy last week.
The ECC remains well represented in the latest regional rankings as
well with four teams claiming spots in the top ten. C.W. Post
maintains their hold on the No. 2 spot behind Franklin Pierce for
the second week in a row, while STAC again climbs up the rankings,
this time up to No. 3. Mercy jumped up a spot to No. 9 after a week
which saw them split their contests, suffering a defeat at the
hands of STAC. NYIT had the biggest drop, falling to No. 10 after
defeats to both West Chester, as well as conference foe Bridgeport.
Dowling dropped out of the regional rankings altogether for the
first time this season.
