Kansas City, Kan. - As the national top five
stayed unchanged through the first week of the season, the Dowling
College men’s soccer team remained ranked at No. 4 in the
latest NCAA national rankings. They are also joined by two fellow
ECC members in the first NSCAA regional rankings of the season.
After starting the opening week of the season with two victories
over regional opponents Dowling finds itself atop the East regional
rankings. Bridgeport comes in at No. 4 in the region following
their win over Southern Connecticut State in their first contest of
the year, followed by C.W. Post at No. 6 after defeats of Saint
Anselm and Holy Family.
Dowling is the lone representative of the ECC in the national
rankings released September 5, while Bridgeport sits just outside
the Top 25 having also received votes.
