Milosavljevic, Naglestad & Buckmire Named to Daktronics All-America Teams

Central Islip, N.Y. - Dowling College junior back Vladimir Milosavljevic was named to the 2010 Daktronics Men’s Soccer All-America First Team.  Bridgeport’s Markus Naglestad earned Second Team nods and Brian Buckmire of Queens College claimed Third Team honors.

Milosavljevic shared ECC Defensive Player of the Year honors this season.  He helped guide the team to both the ECC Regular Season and Post Season titles as well an NCAA Tournament appearance.  Milosavljevic helped to anchor a defense that kept a 0.67 goals against average, good forth eighth in the country.

The 2010 East Coast Conference Offensive player and Rookie of the Year, Naglestad helped led UB to the East Coast Conference Men's Soccer Tournament Championship Final during a season in which he netted 15 goals and had nine assists for a total of 39 points.

Named ECC Co-Defensive Player of the Year Buckmire was a staple on the Knights’ defense this season and tallied one goal.

Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences selected the three Daktronics All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first-team all-region picks advancing to the national ballot.

The team is voted on by the NCAA Division II members of the College Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA), with the online nomination and voting process powered by ATHLETICSITE.COM.
