Indianapolis - The East Coast Conference Men’s Soccer Champion, Dowling College Golden Lions, have earned a berth into the 2010 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Championship.
After missing out on the NCAA Tournament last season, the Golden Lions rejoin the field once again in 2010. Dowling, currently with a record of 11-1-5, earned the number two seed in the East Region. Franklin Pierce took the top seed with a record of 17-1-1.
The Golden Lions, who will host half of the regional, will receive a bye until Sunday’s second round and take on the winner of the match featuring the number three seeded Southern Connecticut State and the number six seeded Dominican College.
Kickoff for Sunday’s game will be at 1:00 PM at Golden Lions Field.
