Central Islip, NY - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America released the Division II Preseason National Polls on August 11. Dowling College claimed the No. 2 spot on the men's rankings while Bridgeport and C.W. Post cracked the women's poll with a No. 19 and No. 25 ranking, respectively.
The Golden Lions compiled a 19-4 overall record last season and advanced to the National Championship game, where they fell to No. 1 ranked Cal State Dominguez Hills.
The Purple Knight finished their season with an 18-5-1 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Round of 16 where they fell to No. 4 ranked St. Rose College.
The Pioneers tied a program record for wins last season, compiling a 17-3-1 overall record and made their second consecutive NCAA Northeast Regional appearance.
