Oakdale, NY-  Lamine Traore of the Dowling Men's Soccer team has received double honors from Big Apple Soccer having being voted Men's College Player of the Week and Goal of the Week.

In a Quarterfinal matchup against U-Mass Lowell at Golden Lions Field, Traore scored with 36 seconds left in the second extratime to boost Dowling to a 1-0 victory over the River Hawks.  2nd in the nation with goals scored, Traore dribbled from 20 yards out on the left side past two defenders, firing a shot into the upper left corner just out of reach of the keeper, advancing the Golden Lions to the Final Four in Tampa. 

Traore is the first player of the season to receive both honors in the same week by Big Apple Soccer.
