Frostburg St. and Roberts Wesleyan Standouts Headline Men's Lacrosse All-Conference Awards

West Babylon, N.Y. - A pair of teammates took home top honors as the East Coast Conference announced its Men's Lacrosse All-Conference awards on Friday afternoon. Roberts Wesleyan standouts Hunter Lemieux (Lockport, N.Y.) and Pat Hynes (Irondequoit, N.Y.) claimed the Offensive Player of the Year and Goalkeeper of the Year awards, while Frostburg St.'s Garrett Colvin (Mt. Airy, Md.) and Bubba Love (Westminster, Md.) took home the league's Defensive Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards.

Lemieux was the top scorer in the ECC this season, tallying 53 points on 41 goals and 12 assists. His goal total was also tops in the conference. Lemieux's name is also among the national leaders. He ranks among the top-10 in all of Division II with 4.1 goals per game (fourth) and 5.3 points per game (ninth).

Colvin takes home the Defensive Player of the Year honor after helping Frostburg St. allow a stingy 7.51 goals per game.  Individually, Colvin ranked third in the ECC with 13 caused turnovers on the season. His total was just two behind the conference's leader despite playing in three fewer games.

Hynes is the ECC's Goalkeeper of the Year after a strong season between the pipes for the Redhawks. The senior racked up 107 saves and a 56.3 save percentage, both good for second in the conference. In addition, Hynes' goals against average of 8.87 ranks ninth in all of Division II.

Love, a sophomore, earns the ECC's Rookie of the Year honor after the conference's rookie eligibility was extended to 2020 freshmen due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Love finished the 2021 campaign with 15 points on eight goals and seven assists over seven games. He also added 10 ground balls and four caused turnovers on the season.

Mercy head coach, Jordan Levine, earns his second straight Coach of the Year honor.  Levine led the Mavericks to an 8-1 overall record, a second consecutive ECC Regular Season Championship, and a ranking as high as No. 4 in the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Top-20 poll.
